Joint Branch Board – Full Time Officials

General Secretary – Keith Bristo

Keith became a Federation workplace representative in 2012.  He was elected to the role of Branch Secretary and Treasurer in 2015 and now works as a full time Federation representative. He is trained as a police discipline friend and in offering support during post incident procedures (death or serious injury following police contact).  He is also the lead on Health and Safety for the Branch.

With over 27 years’ as a serving officer, Keith became a representative in order to use that experience to assist members through a range of difficult times and to play a role in what is proving to be a challenging time for the police service and its members.

 

Chairman – Andy Symonds

Andy was elected Chairman in 2017. His posting before becoming Chairman was as a Beat Manager based at Great Yarmouth. Andy has been a Fed rep since 2012 and, more recently, Vice-Chairman. He is trained as a discipline friend and is now the Conduct & Performance Lead. He is also trained in Post Incident Procedures which are enacted when officers have been involved in a death or serious injury as a result of police contact.

The Chairman and General Secretary work full time from the Federation Office and they are assisted in the day-to-day running of the office by the Office Manager, Helen Wickens and Matt Gould (job-share), Caseworker, Paul Ridgway and Office Administrator, Sheryl Irving.
